Occupational Therapy Manager
Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Hollie joined the Splash Therapy team when she relocated from sunny Perth to not so sunny Melbourne in 2019! Hollie studied at Curtin University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2013.
Hollie’s prior work experiences include her work as an OT in Rocky Bay, WA within the children’s therapy team, working with children from 0- 12 years of ages with developmental delays and disabilities. In this role, she worked within the child’s home, school and within the community. During this time, she completed an intensive Wheelchair Seating course.
Hollie has experience in special school settings in London with children experiencing mild to complex physical and cognitive disabilities to ensure that they could access, participate and engage in their everyday school-based activities. She also worked in private practice settings in London as the Senior Occupational Therapist, working with children ranging between 0 – 17 years of age.
Hollie has always maintained a passion for paediatrics, not only because of the children and the families she gets the opportunity to work with, but because of the wide range of areas that she can work on with each child. She is passionate about gaining rapport with families, establishing family-centered goals and thoroughly enjoys exploring fun, creative ways to support a child’s development and learning of new skills and activities.
She loves anything bright and colorful, travelling and exploring new places, learning new things, eating new and delicious foods, photography, as well as meeting and learning from new people.
